About the Founder

Hick Gwarimbo is the driving force behind the Vene Vayo Nyika Movement. Known across the nation as "The People's Commissar" , he has dedicated his life to mobilising Zimbabweans around the principles of self-reliance, economic participation, and national development.

His vision is a Zimbabwe where every citizen — regardless of province, profession, or background — contributes meaningfully to the building of the nation.

Political Affiliation & Community Roots:
Hick Gwarimbo is a proud member of ZANU-PF, serving within the Murewa West Constituency, specifically in Mwanza Ward 12. His deep connection to grassroots community structures informs his belief that national development must begin at the ward level, empowering local communities to take ownership of their own economic and social progress.

The Idea Behind Vene Vayo Nyika:
The movement was born from the conviction that Zimbabweans must take ownership of their country's destiny. Through structured provincial networks and sectoral engagement, the movement creates pathways for collective progress.

Leadership & Future Direction:
Under Gwarimbo's leadership, the movement continues to expand its reach across all 10 provinces, fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and community development.
